DeJunk
DeJunk is a gate that listens for what a sound is, not just how loud it is. It was designed with recorded distorted guitar in mind, but works just as well on clean electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, and other stringed instruments. Instead of relying on level alone, it judges whether the signal looks more like playing or junk, so loud scrapes and knocks can stay out without forcing you to set the gate high enough to cut into quieter notes. One CLEAN control sets how strict it should be.

DeJunk judges more than level, so a loud scrape or knock between phrases can still read as junk instead of opening the gate like real playing.
DeJunk looks ahead before the audio reaches the output, so the gate can already be open when a phrase starts instead of clipping the first pick attack.
CLEAN sets how strict the decision should be. Turn it up to refuse more between phrases, or back it off when quieter playing needs more room.
